The Process

Estimate

The first step is to meet with a Curb Master’s design expert for a free consultation. Our team member will discuss the overall design with the property owner, including color options, and take measurements. An individual estimate will be created and left for the homeowners to review. This meeting usually takes about 30 minutes.

Preliminary Meeting (before work begins)

Our designer will walk through the curb's layout, ensuring all questions are answered, and the homeowner feels comfortable with the scope of work.

Work Begins (Day One)

Layout: Spray paint will show the location set for the curb so the homeowner has a visual representation of the new landscape project.

Prep Work: The Curb Masters team will set up all equipment needed for the project. We will need access to a water supply to mix the concrete.

Trenching: A Curb Master’s team member will use a bed edger to follow the outlined area. This process will cut the grass, making a path for the curbing to be installed. The soil will be pulverized and can either be kept by the homeowner for reuse or disposed of by us.

Mixing and Extruding of Cement: After all marked areas are trenched and prepped, the mixing process begins. The curbing mix is taken to the curb machine via wheelbarrow, where the cement is extruded and finished to achieve its final look. Reinforcement is also placed during this process.

Finishing: Having a strong finisher is a must when it comes to landscape curb edging.

Stamping and Control Joints: To give the landscape curb the best possible look, a variety of stamps can be chosen to best suit the look of your home and landscaping.

Sealing: This is the final process. Sealing will protect the curb from the sun’s UV rays and prevent fading.

Sealing (Day Two)

Sealing is the final installation process. This will protect the curb from UV rays and fading. The process should be repeated every year to keep the curb protected and maintained.

Last Step…Enjoy!

Once the project is finished, all you have left to do is enjoy your new outdoor space.
